About the Class:
In several ways, the Intermediate VO workshop represents a serious step ahead for aspiring voice-over artists. It’s designed for people who have had some acting training and/or VO experience, including (but not limited to) graduates of our Introduction to Voice-Overs course. We’ll dive deeper into major, complex aspects of the VO Biz.
– Targeting and developing your corner of the VO market
– Building and equipping a home VO studio
– Finding the right talent agent & VO coach for you
– The VO Demo – where, when, how much?
– Benefits of SAG-AFTRA membership
– Audiobook production, etc.
The instructor will direct, record, and play back your readings, and post your takes to a private website for your review.
Finally, we’re lining up some guest speakers from the professional VO community to share some inside information, experience, and advice with you.
Notes:
Seating is limited to 10 students. Applicants must be age 18 or older, and will not leave the workshop with a finished Voice-Over demo (you’ll learn why in class). No refunds after the first class. If you have to miss scheduled classes (almost every student does), know that all students are sent a summary and presented materials each week so it’s easy to stay up-to-date.

Student Testimonials for the Intermediate VO Workshop:
“This workshop was an incredibly valuable experience. I learned so much from experimenting with scripts, hands-on recording work, listening to my peers, and learning from the guest speakers.”
“This class gave me more than I could have possibly hoped for. It gave me resources, connections, advice, and the space to improve technical skills that will be invaluable moving forward…all in six weeks!”
“Having worked in the VO industry professionally for many years, I can honestly say that I learned more from Jack’s class than I learned in any of the voiceover classes I took during my years in Los Angeles.”
